The facts about intimate partner homicide
The data is based on the 2018 Data Report from the Australian Domestic and Family Violence Death Review Network (ADFVDRN). This report found that between July 2010 and June 2014, there were 152 intimate partner homicides in Australia that followed an identifiable history of domestic violence.
The fact sheet has been superseded by Domestic and family violence lethality: Updated facts about intimate partner homicide. This updated fact sheet is drawn from data relating to the 311 intimate partner homicides that occurred in Australia following an identifiable history of domestic violence between July 2010 and June 2018.
