FACT SHEET ANROWS Culturally and Linguistically Diverse Projects with Action Research (CALD PAR) – Webinar resources and questions
This resource was developed as a companion piece to an ANROWS webinar unpacking insights from action research projects on the prevention of violence against women and the creation of safer pathways to services for culturally and linguistically diverse (CALD) communities. It will be useful to practice designers, practitioners and policymakers working in the domestic and family violence, multicultural and settlement sectors.
The webinar, “Prevention of violence and safer pathways to services with CALD communities”, held in June 2020, unpacked findings from the 26 projects in the Culturally and Linguistically Diverse Projects with Action Research (CALD PAR) initiative. The webinar brought together researchers, practitioners and project leads from community organisations and health services to discuss the experiences and service needs of CALD communities.
The webinar generated many audience questions across topics such as cultural difference, how to focus on prevention initiatives, and creating genuine connections with community leaders. As time answering these questions during the webinar was limited, this resource sets out panellists’ answers to the questions that could not be responded to on the day.
