Culturally and linguistically
diverse communities
The contexts, nature and dynamics of domestic and family violence differ for culturally and linguistically diverse (CALD) groups, and immigrant and refugee women. These groups face additional barriers when accessing support services.
The National Plan identifies CALD groups as having specific support needs that may not be addressed by generalised strategies.
Below is a collection of resources, papers, reports and research projects that explore the nature of violence in CALD communities, the barriers to service provision and support strategies.
