This Quick Guide supports readers to understand and communicate the findings for young Australians from the 2021 National Community Attitudes towards Violence against Women Survey (NCAS).
The NCAS is a periodic, representative survey of the Australian population that is conducted every four years. The NCAS measures the Australian community’s understanding and attitudes regarding violence against women, their attitudes towards gender inequality and their intentions to intervene when witnessing violence or disrespect against women. The Attitudes matter: The 2021 National Community Attitudes towards Violence against Women Survey (NCAS), Findings for young Australians report (“Young Australians report”) focuses on findings for young Australians aged 16 to 24 years.
The Quick Guide is useful for individuals and organisations who need to understand and communicate the findings of the Young Australians report. It includes a brief overview of the survey, key findings and key messages with supporting data, implications for prevention, and social media infographics.
