Our research

Violence against women and children affects everybody. It impacts on the health, wellbeing and safety of a significant proportion of Australians throughout all states and territories and places an enormous burden on the nation’s economy across family and community services, health and hospitals, income-support and criminal justice systems.

Webinar series: Implementing the Australian National Research Agenda 2023–2028

Join us for a series of six webinars unpacking the research priorities (ways of working and ways of knowing) set out in The Australian National Research Agenda to End Violence against Women and Children (ANRA) 2023–2028.

This webinar series unpacks the research priorities set out in the ANRA and is designed to support anyone involved in research related to domestic, family and sexual violence. The six priorities explored in the series include:

  • making better use of existing administrative data
  • Indigenous methodologies
  • listening to children when they are children
  • working with the knowledge of experts by experience
  • valuing practitioners’ expertise
  • creating space for pilots and evaluations of community-led interventions.

The first two webinars – exploring making better use of existing administrative data and Indigenous methodologies – were held in 2024. You can view the webinar recordings here. The remaining webinars in the series will be held in 2025.

The webinars are open to anyone and free to attend. Live captioning will be available.

Recordings of the webinars will also be made available.
