7. Demographics factors influencing attitudes
The NCAS findings explored knowledge and attitudes in the community as a whole. However, there are some differences in knowledge and attitudes among particular groups and contexts. Demographic differences were generally modest and varied across the composite measures[efn_note]’High’ and ‘low’ classify respondents relative to one another. It would be wrong to say that any group has a high or low level of support in absolute terms.[/efn_note].
This information is useful as it can help to target efforts to prevent violence against women.
