Children, young people
and parenting
Domestic, family and sexual violence has a range of impacts on children, including developmental, health, social and educational impacts.
According to the Australian Bureau of Statistics’ Personal Safety Survey 2016 (ABS, 2017), 65 percent of women who had children in their care when they experienced violence by a partner reported that the children had seen or heard the violence.
ANROWS offers a range of resources, papers, reports and research projects relating to the experiences and impacts of violence on children and young people, along with strategies for adolescents with violent behaviours.
