On Friday the Council of Australian Governments released the National Outcome Standards for Perpetrator Interventions (NOSPI), developed by Commonwealth, state and territory governments. 

ANROWS has been funded by the Commonwealth Government to produce a Perpetrator Interventions Research Stream to build the evidence base on perpetrator interventions and support the implementation of the NOSPI.

Last Wednesday ANROWS released a state of knowledge paper on perpetrator interventions in Australia. An Australian first, the paper maps the pathways and interventions for perpetrators of domestic/family violence (DFV) and sexual assault through civil and criminal legal systems; and examines the responses and service systems currently available to DFV and sexual assault perpetrators in each jurisdiction. 

Four Strategic Research Themes were identified in the paper as key areas for further research. These research priorities will form the basis of the ANROWS Perpetrator Interventions Research Program. 

In early 2016 ANROWS will call for applications for grants under this research stream. Subscribe to receive first notice of these grants.
