Violence against women and children affects everybody. It impacts on the health, wellbeing and safety of a significant proportion of Australians throughout all states and territories and places an enormous burden on the nation’s economy across family and community services, health and hospitals, income-support and criminal justice systems.

International Day for the Elimination of Violence against Women (IDEVAW)

Wednesday, 25th November 2015

Today is the International Day for the Elimination of Violence against Women (IDEVAW), White Ribbon Day (WRD) and the first day of 16 Days of Activism against Gender Based Violence.

Over the 16 days of Activism ANROWS will share key findings and recommendations from its research published to date, including Landscapes (state of knowledge papers) and Horizons (research reports). Follow us on Twitter at @ANROWS.

Infographics on violence against women and their children (drawn from our first Horizons report on further analysis of the Australian Bureau of Statistics’ 2012 Personal Safety Survey) are available for download and use. Other infographics from the report may also be available on request.
